The Town of Weber City, Virginia, Department of Public Works is accepting applications. This is a full-time position. We are looking for a team player that can work in a professional, fast-paced, customer orientated environment. Job responsibilities include a variety of routine semi-skilled duties involving weed eating and ground maintenance. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, must be in excellent physical condition and work in a variety of weather conditions. Preference given for knowledge of landscaping, tree trimming/mowing experience, 2-cycle engines, and other industrial mowing equipment. Successful applicants for this position will be subject to a DMV Motor Vehicle check and must complete a satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check. Starting wage is $16.00 per hour. The Weber City Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. DCJS Certification preferred. Virginia has an Option 5 (Lateral transfer) for officers certified in other states for 3 years, depending on eligibility.
